The External Advisory Board (EAB) is an advisory body composed of industrial organizations. Its role is to follow up the project results and provide recommendations to the project, focusing on the exploitation of the project results and requirements from each represented industry sector. The EAB will meet with the IRATI consortium at least three times during the project lifetime, once at the end of each phase. IRATI’s EAB is composed of the following companies:
ATOS, a global IT systems company, representing an industrial community of networking technology users. Atos is an international information technology services company, delivering hi-tech transactional services, consulting, systems integration and managed services. Atos is focused on business technology that powers progress and helps organizations to create their firm of the future. It is the Worldwide Information Technology Partner for the Olympic Games and is quoted on the Paris Eurolist Market.
Juniper Networks, a global manufacturer of networking solutions, representing the network vendors community. Juniper provides solutions, technology and equipment to build some of the largest Internet backbones and enterprise networks in the world, and on any given day will “handle” the broadband connections of millions of people around the world.
Cisco Systems is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. Cisco’s networking solutions connect people, computing devices and computer networks, allowing people to access or transfer information without regard to differences in time, place or type of computer system. Cisco provides end-to-end networking solutions that customers use to build a unified information infrastructure of their own, or to connect to someone else’s network. An end-to-end networking solution is one that provides a common architecture that delivers consistent network services to all users. The broader the range of network services, the more capabilities a network can provide to users connected to it.
TRIA Network Systems is creating networking products based on a new approach to defining and managing computer networks and new and improved ways for applications to use them. TRIA will introduce software products for use in embedded networks, private networks, in public and private clouds, and in the public Internet. TRIA’s technology provides new capabilities that are difficult or impossible with current Internet technology and protocols.
